Lotion bars

September 1, 2017 Well, it was day 2 of making lotions. We did 2 different types. One with cocoa butter and one with shea butter.  They were not as greasy as last week,  the girls did the mixing and measuring and pouring.  Mixture 1 1/3 c beeswax 1/3 c almond oil 3 oz. cocoa butter 10-15 drops lemongrass e.o. Mixture 2 1/3 c beeswax 1/3 c almond oil 3 oz. shea butter 10-15 drops wintergreen e.o. Use a double boiler or use a pot of water and a mason jar.  If using pot of water and mason jar, fill pot 1/3 to 1/2 way full of water. Put beeswax and almond oil in glass fist( if using cocoa butter also put that in jar. If using shea butter, wait until beeswax and oil are melted) once all melted then pullout and set for a couple of minutes. Add e.o.'s then pour into molds and let them cool. I put them in the fridge to cool down faster.  The lotions came out nice . They enjoyed making the lotions themselves.
